About I have posted a number of shots from a heavily wooded lot near me that sits in the middle of an otherwise typical residentual area. Here is one more. Near a border fence is this structure. Two wooden poles with something on top and chains hanging down. I am guessing it is some ones idea or art. I have no idea what that is on top. Notice no effort was made to achieve neat joints etc. Any one have any idea what this would be?

Rebecca, Yes your version definitely gives it a sense of mystery, in fact I dont think I would want to walk there at night, seems Dracula might be lurking somewhere. I am impressed by how many different ways a photo can be made to appear by changing the lighting and using elements of PS. I do like what you have done with it. It makes it a much more interesting photo,,,even though not really what you see when you look at the stupid thing with its sloppy craftsmanship and the "what ever" sitting on top. I think the best presention if I were to do it again, would be to show both the original and your revision so the viewer could understand both the source and the revision. Thanks again to all of you for your interest in my silly little photo. As one new at Usefilm, I certainly have enjoyed the "attention" lol. Del.

Jimmy converted it, but it needs a little something else to give it a little mystery.. here's more what I had in mind.. Let me know what ya think..

Del, you do find some of the strangest things to photograph. I have looked at this quite awhile and can't figure out what this is. I'm attaching my rendition of what Rebecca suggested to let you see what it looks like. Personally I think the b&w takes away from that thing, whatever it is. I did this with my Ulead PhotoImpact software.

Christine and Rebecca. Thank you for the kind words and advice. Both of you have encouraged me to expand into Photo Shop or a similiar program rather than just crop what the camera sees with maybe some rotation or brightness adjustment. I love the things you do with your photos. I am not sure if I have the imagination to see the things you see to do. Perhaps this winter (after fishing season) I will consider getting a "real camera" and some photo program and try to learn form all the kind advice I receive. Hugs to both of you. Del.

OK, really weird set-up Del but you captured it in full vivid colour and wonderful textures...and what is that reddish brown thing to the left, some kind of homemade bird feeder? oh and I agree with Rebecca. You should try it. If you go to adobe.com you can download a free 30 day trial of Photo Shop Elements. It is really user friendly and fun.

I have no clue! Redneck sculpture? lol But I tell ya Del, if ya cropped that to include only the tree and the " thing", converted to bw..It would probably look cool as hell! Nice shot.
