So, was this some time ago? Were you bobbing and weaving on a boat, trying to pan that old Mamiya? Great results, no matter. I think it's time for me to take some pictures.

Megan ..... Thank you for your kind comment and reference to the "brutal" phrase. I have found this to be true. There is a saying: "you can tell a great photographer..by looking in his trash basket". I'm so happy that you will be practising this habit. My goal here is to help those who are seeking to improve their photography. I am in contact with several members on this issue. Please feel free to email me .. with your questions and/or concerns .. if you like. Good luck with your photography venture .. want you to succeed.
~~~~~~~~~ Warm Regards ...... Bill
Bill, I love this shot. She looks like she is just flying yet you've haulted a fraction of a moment for all time. I read a comment of your on another photo and had to check out your portfolio. I just wanted to tell you that your words in your bio have made an impression on me. The part about being brutally honest about what photos to keep and show. I'm just getting started with portrait photography and shooting digital I tend to shoot a lot. I've been providing too many proofs and they almost always choose shots that I am not entirely happy with. These are the shots they will be showing family and friends. If they are showing mediocre shots, I will be known as a mediocre photographer. Good advice...and will be remembered always.
Regards, megan
Hi Bill,
I love this photo. Is so nicely balanced. the contrasts are good, the tones are great. Is good to know that even with the digital cameras. Rangefinders cameras given them a run for there money. Congrats,
Be seeing you...
Raamses.
Ps. no digital can match the quality of a medium format.
