About After taking many generic windmilll photos I decided to get a different perspective. I thought this angle added a little more impact to a fairly bland scene.

I hope you enjoy this particular photo. Thanks for your time and comments. If you'd like to see more of my work I invite you to visit my web site http://www.artbeacon.com/jmg-galleries/

Great work - luck with the photo a day - sounds easy but it isn't!!!!!

I like the conrast of the dull brown against the brilliant blue sky. The angle definitely makes this shot feel a lot 'crazier'. How did you get the fan blades to be in the middle of the blur, rather than on the leading edge?

Thilo...
The blur was there to begin with, but I enhanced it in Photoshop.
The color and sky are all natural. Just as they appear on the slide.

Dear Jim,

very refreshing view of windmills ;-)

Would like to know if you actually shoot the blur or add it afterwards. the color gradients in the sky is amazing, and the twisted horizon really adds some tension here. I'm just wondering if the grass part is not a bit too dominant and if the twist should be that strong.

anyway, I like your style a lot.

take care, Thilo

jim, great shot! i love the angle and perspective. the slight blur of the grass and the tilt make me feel as i'm being sucked into the windmills out of control. very cool effect!

take care,
tom
