It looks like the magnolia's leaves are caressing the stone, feeling out the faded words carved into it... I like the seed heads on the tree - bright red berries come next!

this is very nice in BW it shows allot of texture and the plant looks very cool I bet if it had a open flower on it it would add even more interest to this wonderful shot.

OMG! i am sooooooo happy right now! Had a terrible night last night and today hasn't been great,either.....it is our psychic connection again..LOL...love this image even if the blooms aren't showing!...the toning is awesome..love the sheen on the leaves/texture on the stone and the title is perfect!..presentation fits,too..THANK YOU!!!!..my best,cowgirl

I'm sure Gayle will like this even more than I do. And, I like it a lot. I like how the magnolia cones match the tones on the left of the monument. I told Gayle in a recent comment that you and she had me going into cemeteries now. I will have to wait until it cools off some to really go down and explore the old Monroe city cemetery. It has a lot of very old, wonderful headstones, magnolia trees, large oaks, cedars, and crapemyrtles.

Beautiful light on the headstone illiminating the texture. The magnolia leaves look like satin Rebecca. A really lovely composition.
