About
For the PowerShot Pro1 owners:
I scoured the web trying to find the TC-DC58A attached to the Canon PowerShot Pro1 and never found one. Those rinky-dink photos of the on-line adds do not show how big this bad boy is. There is a ton of glass in this thing.
This is the LA-DC58C (lens adapter) + the TC-DC58A Teleconverter. The Teleconverter takes the cam to around 330mm.
It was dark when I got home and the moon went behind the clouds, so pictures and full report tomorrow.
The Lens weighs just a bit more than the camera alone, I nice strap (better than the one in the package) helps. I found a nice rubberized strap that I got a while back and it seems to do nicely. The nice thing with this is that you can really get your hand around the lens and feel comfortable when shooting. The adapter has a tripod mount that works well.
We couldn't pass on the Oly 5000Z, we was in bestbuy it was on sale for 329.00 and had a 70 dollar rebate. We picked it up for Shawn http://www.usefilm.com/member/mrs_paw/ She has been having a lot of fun with it. IMO it takes very nice picture but after using the menus on the Powershot S50 and Pro1, I get confused with the Oly and Throw out half my pics. Shawn is getting it down. Really it is a budget Oly 5050.
Nice set-up! This must weigh a bit! I am also waiting to see what kind of shots you get with this rig! Also, how good is the Oly 5000. Don't see many pics from that cam. Best, Bill
