About A prop from a short film a friend of mine made while we were in college, 1993, UCSB.

At the end of the short film, this TV gets smashed by the sledgehammer.

With the Fish-Eye adaptor on my regular lens, I liked having the peep-hole effect...

I couldn't agree with you more, Hugo - I probably should've added a little more vignette..... and darkened the corners some more... it would have made it more claustrophobic, I think, which would have been nice...... tomorrow I will post the said Sledghammer which was actually used to smash the TV.....

(the unfortunate thing.... I was behind the camera shooting the actual scene on the 16mm, so no one took the still shot of the TV being smashed...... you'll just to do it to your own TV.... hahahaha)

Hi Yoshi, I'm watching some lame show right now, and wish I had a Sledgehammer (but then i would face the problem which screen to smash, my TV, My monitor or your TV photo....) Would like to capture that smash, though. Very strong image (atmosphere wise) but I think a slightly bigger gradient in the vignetting could've made it a tad stronger. I know it's created by the Fish Eye adaptor, but Photoshop can do anything these days (only not by itself, you'll have to take some action yourself, or so I'm told....)

Cheers,

Hugo

Kevin C - yeah UCSB was like a beach resort, not a college campus.....

Excellent unique perspective and a wonderful fish-eye view as some people only see the world through their television set.

We tried fitting my adaptor on to the little Bolex 16mm camera's lens - and I think we got a couple of quick bursts on the film, but it's barely noticeable......

Excellent shot! Everything fits together just right - the colors, the fish-eye view...

Was the film shot with a fish eye too??
