Hi Marion, Very interesting composition, and one that is not often used. The "excessive" silhouettes, taking up most of the frame, gradually showing some contrast and details in the people admiring the view, leading the eye to the main subject, the amazing view itself. Very creative shot! The use of the trees as a frame for the view do hint at a narrow crop, creating a vertical panoramic format, tunneling the viewers eyes more towards the scenery. On the other hand, the fact that you didn't (leaving the branches visible on the left and right of the columns) thus removing the potentially centered and rather more static element is a very good choice.
It also gives the impression of a dual horizon. The cloudscape, visible through the foliage resembles more islands on the first glance, but a closer look reveals the low horizon. Very appealing shot, and an excellent capture.
The trees work very effectively as a framing device to focus the attention on the three people at the lookout, although I find them a bit heavy - maybe there's just a little too much dark at top? The landscape beyond is wonderful with the salt-air mist and the bright reflection off the water!
