Thanks, Giuliano!

I changed quite a few to this project. A lot of the photos I like to take are street candids, and are inspired by HCB's images.

Gosto muito deste momento, Angelo. E demais do tons puríssimos.
Quanto à horizontalidade......
Coisa louca!
As escadas estão. A parte inferior da porat está.
Acho que o problema é do arquiteto:)
Falando sério.
Não estou nem aí para estes purismos.
Uma excelente foto, isso sim.
Um abraço,
Marília

Dear Angelo,

little friend PS may help you with the horizon ;-)

but I have every respect for NOT changing the original image at all. I would love to make good pictures without rework.

Dear Thilo,

You are horizontally challenged :)

Haha, only joking!

But, seriously, there are a few reasons why there isn't a horizontal, some of them good, some of them shameful. You decide which is which:

. I am stil very self conscious about taking candids. Sometimes I do not even lift up the camera, but just literally "shoot from the hip". When I do lift it, I am paying attention to the moment, to the subject, and what they are doing.

. I took this from an angle, not straight-on. If I was straight-on my reflection would have been there, which would have spoiled the picture for more reasons than I care to mention :)

. This shot is "as taken", no cropping.

In any event, it looks level enough to me. I admit I didn't put a grid on it, but the first step looks pretty much horizontal.

I'm glad you still enjoyed the picture. Thanks again!

Angelo.

ah, another one in the phone series ;-)

well done in general, two small things for me: I would love to have some real horizontal lines here. It's a bit disturbing for me to NOT have them ;-)

in addition, the man on the right seems to be overexposed. minor things though, good work, angelo.

I like this picture, there is a story hanging in the air i.e.: "Mom, I have just quarrel with my boyfriend, shall we split up, what do you think?"

Danny,

It is hard to find weirdos like me these days, who are not constantly tethered to their mobiles. Lunch break, ciggie break, walk to/from work, constantly phoning, texting...

I think there are more pictures coming on this subject...

I was reading Dannys comment and wondered if the reflections really mattered that much...they do.

Poor Self Image

Danny Brannigan   {K:19523} 7/15/2004
Angelo. Does everyone in london spend their lunch breaks on a mobile phone? I like this pic because although we only have two subjects the position of their reflections balance things up especially that of the gentleman.
