About Taken in my makeshift studio (material thrown over the couch, and overhead tungsten lighting) Used a dreamy filter and some desaturation to give in the soft ethereal look.

Ron, thank you so much for that wonderful compliment, and for the tips! I don't have studio lighting, so we're going to use natural light and my homemade diffused light, which is a lightbulb under a frosted bowl! But we'll play around with it! Thanks so much for the ideas!

This is probably your best work yet, I would use a medium pink or burgandy for the backgroung. Do some multiple shots with the light coming from different angles, and you can use cardboard to keep light from falling where you don't want it. Try single and multiple light setups. Some with her face lit, some with the background lit or the flowers lit and her face in the shadows... Hope this helps... Ron

Thanks Rawabi! She's actually coming over again this week to try it again! I wasn't pleased with the lighting, so we're going for daylight and I will try your suggestions! She does have lovely features, and I think a softer background would work well. I did one where her eyes were closed, but I'm not sure if I like it or not. My husband thought she looked dead, and that isn't good! Maybe I'll post it tomorrow.

very magical and soft.. beautiful dreamy effect.. try taking the pic with the same setup but with a light background (pinkish/white) to show off her angelic face :)
try also to take pix of her while she's gazing at some other faraway point instead of directly to the camera.. should look really nice with her features..
