Hehehe! Everything well Ray, criticize are them very well arrivals, because it is only like this that it is learned... a big hug! - Embú, also known as "Embú das artes"(Embú of the arts) it is a next city to the Capital of the State of São Paulo and, it is a city that has in general as main characteristic the craft. It is very visited in the weekends and, therefore a great place for photographers that like faces and expressions.

Ari, To hell with the rules, do whatever works. Both you and Jorge have a good points. The good thing about getting a larger image, espically when you are shooting street scenes, is that if you want to, you can crop latter in the darkroom or on the computer. In any case both versions are very good images. Where abouts in Brazil is Embu, anyway? Reguards, Ray

Hello Jorge! Well my friend, Ray observed the picture in a general aspect respecting the rules of the picture, but me, as well you know, I like a lot of to break the rules and not to take the same ones so seriously, but... I liked the comment, because it showed to have liked the registration. In other ranches the foreigners would have gone down the firewood... :)))) A great hug to the two!

I agree with you Ray, but it is that I forgot about this detail this time, because it was everything very fast and I didn't want to lose the scene... it is that moment that we have to decide if we pressed the button or we let to pass the opportunity... : O) A great hug!

Hi Ray, if you let me in the subject, I prefer Ari crop:in a place like a fair, everything is "subject",not one can be separate from the next. The old lady, alone, could be very nice, but could well be in a studio and we totally lost the "mood" of the place. In my opinion, this is an old lady in a fair,so I would not isolate her from what is around, so important as her for the general concept of the picture.Ari, you, the author, what do you think? Regards jorge

Thanks my friend Ari, this picture has all the color and sharpness I used to add to all my pictures, so I love it.Also, it is a great document to show what Embu is all about.I hope, at the end of my Embu series- with your help- to make it known to more brasilians and some gringos, to get the envy to go there and enjoy the Montmartre of Latin America. A big hug, jorge

Ari, This is a great portrait, a capture which expresses age with dignity and respect. I do believe that a closer crop would bring more attention to the central figure and remove some of the distracting background stuff which is not relly essential to the main subject. I took the liberty to try it, let me know what you think. Reguards, Ray

Linda, Ari! Sinto falta deste "feature" do UF: Year when photo was taken...mas.. várias coisas melhoraram. Um abraço! Carmem
