For your consideration Peter:
I reduced saturation by 40%, then using the history brush, painted some color back into select areas.

This was an interesting experiment. I borrowed my wife's lace table cloth(she's a little upset). I laid it down on the couch with the rose, set up the tripod, attach a cheap clamp lamp to the tripod with a screwin floresent bulb. The camera was shooting down.... This gave me some interesting lighting and more ideas....

Very nice Peter, excellent choice of background, I think that desaturating this by about -10-15 would be a good step to making this really seem like a timeless aged photo, great work,
