Hmmm good thought James I had not considered that before. Good point. there is definitely something not quite right with this one. I had tried to paint it before and it didn't work either. LOL

tim.... this is a very good photo, however the wayward tree branch is distractive. i would use the clone tool on that. i've tried these tones myself but haven't found them suitable for any of my photos yet.

I can see you've done a lot of work on this image but I tend to agree with Lukasz and with what you said about which is the most important element in the photo.I love the blue of the sea but the foreground rock seems to have a sort of greeny hue to it and perhaps be better more desaturated and closer to black and white.It might be worth lightening the sepia tone of the sky,I think its a tad too dominant.I spent a long time playing around with tones in a landscape yesterday and I'll put it up shortly-see what you think!Thanks for adding me to your friends list,I had a look thru your portfolio yesterday and was very impressed!Regards Tony

Yes i agree with you Lukasz...i havent resloved what is the most important thing in this image yet and so the confusion for your eye...it's to late now and i think i'm going to go to bed and look at it tomorrow. Thanks for your comment!

I like sepia (desaturation) effect you used, it is really good and the title underlines the story you want to tell, however I think there are too many objects in this picture - my eyes are running from the cloud and grass to the tree and I can not concentrate on the image;

best regards from Poland

This is a very nice selective desaturation. I agree that the sepia regions are so full of texture they can stand on their own, where the water is aided by a gentle addition of color .
