Thanks Kim - I'm back in the US, just re-working some of the images I grabbed while in Europe in May. The panorama format is one of the things I'm trying out as you noticed...

This is very eye catching... the close up rock on the left has such great light and details. The panoramic feel to this is also a nice touch... the colours are complimentary and the rocks in the bg reinforce the one in the fg.
Are you still in Sweden? Looks like some amazing scenery to take in!

Hi Hugo - there is not much to go on re the horizon, but you might well be right. Re the project - I usually fill them in when I do them explicitly (and I haven't used them as learning tools lately), or when I feel there is a really good fit with an existing shot.

Hi Stefan, The division of the frame is well balanced, just over a third in focus, but leaving the background just recognisable. The combination of blue, green and "stone" is perfect. Scruitinising the background and the horizon, I suspecta slight tilt, though. Might be an optical illusion, as the DOF does obscure it pretty good.
Just wondering, why do you never fill in a project?
Cheers,
Hugo

Very smart composition. You have the texture and details from that stone in the foreground and you get the "big picture" through the blury ones in the back. Very, very nice! Cheers! Carlheinz
