The moons dead easy. Its just like shooting in daylight. Try 1/125th of a second at f8 and see how you go :)Should be somewhere around that setting. Getting a shot like this is next to impossible. Its a combination of two shots, taken one after the other. The first exposure was for the moon and the second for the trees. I pasted the moon in and carefully deleted segments of the moon to reveal the branches!! And thats all I'm saying.

...but this is so different, it is exceptional. The craters are deeper, the glow is perfect and the branches are a wonderful touch.

David,
Your moon is upside down, no wait, you're upside down! Or rather you're down under. Seriously, you've picked a good aperture and focus point to get just enough detail on the moon and still keep the foreground relatively sharp. You have pretty good contrast for a full moon image. Nice job.

Hi Armando. I have to admit its a photoshop effort. I shot the full moon last month, and the trees with the moon behind last night. The detail in the moon behind the trees was washed out so I photoshopped the good exposure in. Wasnt as hard as I thought. Even with the big lenses I have, its still difficult to get a good close shot. Cheers aaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooooooowwwww!

7+++++++ David: an incredible picture, I have tried without success to take a picture like this, yesterday with the full moon, but my camera is not good for that, alone I have 3x of optic zoom and 10 digital. PS: for this pic can I see that you are also half lunatic, hahahaha.
