ciao e b. vita

Of the 2 in this series. I really think this one has a better shadow/light balance that the V2 image.

Not sure she is asleep though, More like lying in ambush. I like it.

Charming and disquieting too, there is a strange lightning in her eyes, technically almost perfect and full of hidden meanings. I like your photos, not only for the beautiful girls you always show us, but also because there is a true photographer behind that EOS 10D. Keep up the good work and don?t worry about some kind of comments, I do not bear who criticizes the person instead of the photo. Bye Max

Mr. ppd, I am a great fan of yours. All your all your work is great! Comp, lighting, crop all of it. I would like to see more of your studio shots with your models in them so as to learn from you lighting placement. Also any information you can pass along with your pictures would be great also.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Patrick. My comment about it not being chauvinistic was a response to what Sam had said. Sam said it was chauvenistic, I said it was not. It bothers me when people are rude and insulting like that, because of something that they do not understand. Like I said in my post, I like the lighting and the concept.

I agree that comments should be about the technique, not about stupid insults. I hope you did not think I was being insulting. I was simply stating my belief that this one (IMHO) is not quite up to the standards of some of your other shots. I meant no disrespect.

hi lamaro. the makeup is intentional. i got a makeup artist to do exactly that. we got the fake eyelashes and all. what i like about this photo is its vibe. the blue lighting and the pose and how exaggerated everything is. the bad comments are ok with me. i am used to them. what pisses me off is that instead if criticizing my lighting or something, the comments are about how ashamed i should feel to be myself. i think this is one of my best shots and i learn more every day from practicing and useful comments from u guys...

hi ernie. i understand what u are saying. and i don't think it is a chauvinist comment. what some people don't seem to understand is that this is a website for photography and photographers. the comments should be based on techniques, quality, composition and other elements that separate a good photographer from a bad one, not about personal lifestyle preferences or prude comment based on stupid insults. i try to combine appealing subjects and many lighting techniques to create my own style. i have a lot of viewers that admire my work for what it is and not only for the emotions it provokes... i hope u understand. Anyone can get a digital camera and start snapping photos of their pets or family... it doesn't make them a photographer.just another guy with a camera...
Cheers
patrick

PP,

Oh goodness, here we go again with negative comments. Me, personally I Love your work. I need to be calling you for some tips. Next thing is that the make up is a little over done but if you don't look at the whole picture you will def miss what the entire point is. She is stunning, beautiful, sensual and most important provacative. I mean everything is covered but leaves enough for the imagaination to run wild. Anyway let me stop babbling, keep on chugging cheers....

Great shot Mr p. Has she hung her whip up for the night?

Splendid lighting and a confrontational look make it a successful picture. I feel sorry for Sam as he obviously misses so much fun in life.

Keep it up - Matheson

your work is always top-rate, professional, intriguing, and generous. a colorful, beautiful woman (clothed, no less!) in a provocative, powerful pose. lovely!

flippant negative comments wear this process of sharing thin. quite usually, it is best to consider the source!

(i love your studio pic!)

I think that the lighting is nice, and the concept is solid, but I am not a big fan of the overdone makup and hair. I am a fan of your work, but this is not one of your better images. (and it is not chauvenistic)

Much of your work reminds me of the great Helmut Newton. (may he rest in peace)
Remember he caused lots of controversy too, so maybe you can take the critical comments of others in perspective. :)

When u can shoot a photo like this one, I might regard your comment as a worthy one.

Until then I will keep being the pig I love to be...

Cheers
