I'll take a photo some day if you like but am going away right now. for a couple of days. Of course canon a60 plastic cone thing with a thread on it that sticks onto the front AND probably a 52 to 46mm adaptor ring.
canon of course sell a wide angle lense you can stick on.
I'll send you a photo one day it looks ridiculous.

No retouches for colour here but it was in shadow and had me a80 set on "sunny" . Somewhere are these parts is new zealands oldest exposed rock formations. I forget the name. Will keep my eye out for your work Michael. Welcome to usefilm by the way. Thanks for saying hi.
Ka kite ano.

Oh, I didn't read 'About'; I see it was taken on a beach, so it surely isn't a fossil fish just lying on the beach.

Ian, This is a nice semi-abstract image (I love the color), but I can't help being curious what it actually is. Is it a fossil (perhaps of one fish eating another)? I do a lot of macro photography of small fossils; I'll post one of my images tonight in case you're interested.

Kevin I'll need to go home and take a look at it.
Post you tomorrow. It's actually designed for sticking on the front of video cameras! I bought it in singapore with a converter ring for screwing onto the front of a pentax slr I own. We were going to europe and felt I needed width to fit some of the scenes in. Priced the "real" wide angle zoom lenses and was tempted but grabbed the cheapo and was thrilled. (There is a place for barrel distortion!)
Anyway the adapter ring for screwing it onto the pentax works perfectly for screwing this one onto the a80. Have to remember to shoot in macro settings for close up more often though.

This is a really cool shot -- I love the perspective and the blue tones...the subject is very intreging to look at -- looks like an ice age image or something = very well seen and done -- thanks for the comment on the looking glass shot -- I really appreciate it as that is one of my favorites of any shot I have done recently, nails isn the feet and all...what wide adapter did you use? I have an a60 and I want to get one but don't know which one...kev

This is to show that even the common things, often unwatched, are very interesting.

Ian: excelent shot. congrats.
PD: Since you fear to the weapons and concerned because I possess one I decided to melt it. I hope you are more calm with the result.

Cheers Subhash. Will try exactly that next time. Should have a "painterly effect" portfolio. Am planning a kitsch one and intended for this to be #1 but really had to leave the colours alone.
At present I am always thrilled when this digital thing gives any thing resembling texture at all so was glad for this. I will try it though.

Well Seen And Captured! I like the surreal quality of this with the monotone blues.

Cheers - Bill
