Wow, that's nice! Great angle, and great intimacy. Until you mentioned the photoshop work, I liked what I thought was overexposure...once pointed out, I could tell that it was added. Not that I'm one to critique digital manipulation -- I suck at it, so I can't really offer anything! Overall, though, I do really like this self portrait

Hi Susie. Great shot here. I like the expression and the colors. I like Bahadir's idea, you could post a b&w version of this picture which, imho, would be even more interesting than this one. Cheers.

Hi Suzie, Great selfportrait! Nice to "meet" you, too! Very elaborate shot, and I think the PS job in the background is a good choice. The high key and the washed out effect it creates is very effective. Very inspiring approach, I think this shot is fantastic!
Cheers,
Hugo

I agree about the blown out highlights looking a little too strong, but I suppose you have to hide the distractions somehow. The thing that make this photo work is the composition with your face going across the photo in a landscape format, and the eye contact. Both these things are hard to nail because when you do the self times thing you have to press and run and pose and still look comfy, which is not how I look when I try this method. It looks like I am posing, trying to relax after a triathlon in 40 degree heat! Well done.

Well, there are certainly NO distractions left in this shot now, Susie! This is a wonderful pose, great exposure, and I like how you graudated out to a white-out in the distance. The lighting across your beautiful face is splendid!

It's the eyes. Nothing else really matters. The eyes are the windows to the soul. All I can say is... gorgeous!

I like them eyes, good self portrait. Technically part of the top is overexposed, perhaps its intentional.

Nicely stark and very good composition. I like it! (BTW, I like the "makeover" idea you expressed in your bio. Let's do some nice honest photography from the heart, right? Yes!)

I don't think much could distract from your ethereal beauty. I love the light coming from the top right. Beautiful skin tones and lovely soulful eyes.
