A lovely, consistent pallette of colours--skin tones, brown, beige, white... and a timeless photograph. The expressions, though not directed at us, show calm confidence in what they are doing, not even having to think about it, instead, letting their hands do it almost unconsciously. Beautiful portraits of these fine working women!

I expect that the one on the left is supposed to be 'carding' raw wool, while the one on the right... is just 'well...+? sitting), and it was a practice that started hundred of years ago... and still is practiced in the east from the former east bloc... all the way to central China. But their costumes are too fine... to be of the middle ages... and certainly a re-play in the 21st century... especially for the photographer... who has captured them well!

XXI, visto che è a colori! ;))) Battutine a parte, mi sono chiesto subito come mai non hai convertito per es. in tonalità sepia, poi mi sono detto che sei Luisa ed ami la luce ed i colori; questi sono tenui e si intonano bene tra loro, non fanno rimpiangere nessuna tonalità e fanno apprezzare una scena che richiama vecchi tempi. Vista la mia età ;) ho visto dal vivo delle donne fare questo lavoro e mi ricordo abbastanza, però non capisco cosa stia facendo quella di destra. Ciao, un abbraccio.
