Hi Nuno, Only briefly on your description: I think it adds a very strong element to the photo. I've recently found out about that revolution, and what a strong message might do to the comments...;o)
So I'll stick to the photo (in reference to the message you send with it, of course). As I said, the message adds strongly to the photo. Without it, it would be "just another" floral with a refreshing background, something unusual and original. With the message in mind, the low camera position and the sky do also emphasise the quest for freedom. Maybe the message could also be emphasised if the building behind the flowers would be more visible, while keeping it out of focus, as it adds a very good contrast to the photo. Methaphorically, that building can be regarded as the symbol of those in power, if you know what I mean.
As to the photo as a stand alone, I think the composition is a tad centered (horizontally) I think showing a bit more of the stem of the bouquet would balance the composition a bit more.
