roberto, you, know, you're probably right. it didn't occur to me that the focal length could've been all the way out. that would definitely cause the shallow dof. very nice regardless!

Thank you for your comment to my photograph.
The exact aperture value was f/9 and the reason that the dof is so shallow should be related to the lens type (I suppose).
I don't know exactly the rason I'm interested in photograpgy since a few months so some (a lot ;-)) technical aspects are still dark to me

roberto, interesting perspective. looks it should be a vertical but it works great like this. i find it interesting that your dof is so shallow even with an f/8 apperture. you certainly placed the focus point in the right spot but a bit more depth would really make this pop.
