hi pia thanks..I couldn't do it, 85mm lens small fstop and no light. I shot it in RAW which allowed me toget more info so I could pull the image backout of a shot that looked terrible...ta rog

Great jazz photo, Roger. That 85mm lens has a very special quality... and that cloud above the artiste and the spotlight create the atmosphere and set the stage. Wonder whether it was steam from the heat of his playing or the usual curse of jazz concerts--smoke?

very good concert photo you have here. It shows the action, the mood and it has great contrast.
I wonder if it would help to show the whole intrument. I'm not sure about that.

thanks gayle..the lighting was hell to workout, there was blue lights and red lights changing all the time, hence the BW. Plus the 85mm is a very good lens...roger
