Serene silence captured here makes it a great shot! Re. the budhha statue, you're right, it was a challenge to erect it. Hyderabadis like most Hindus revere Budhha as a reincarnation of Vishnu, hence the statue in the middle of the lake. Personally, this uplifted the image of the hitherto unattractive lake swamped with an imported acquatic weed in 70s & 80s (very photogenic, though:-) called Water Hyacinthe:-)!

Magnificent shot, too! I like the colours of the boats, they catch the eye, and set the primary subject. The beautiful barren coastline and the grey sky are demoted to a secondary subject by the placement and the composition of the two moored trailers. Beautiful capture, my compliments!
