I agree that this is a great composition of tonalities and simple shapes. The only thing that makes me hesitate is the lighting on her face--especially the dark side. But I think that is probably nitpicking. Excellent work!

Its that little swoosh of a curl that gets me everytime! This is wonderfully composed-and perfectly lit....is this artifical lighting? I will there was a catagory in the image info about lighting- I really could learn from you!

Beautiful!! I love how the picture shows the lightest of whites and then the darkest of blacks. I love the little whisp of curl in her hair. Really beautiful shot! I wish her shirt would have reflected a little more light on the side of her face - it gives the impression of a black eye. It's still an amazing shot and I dream of the day I can get tones and lighting like this. Great job.

Nicely executed shot. The use of natural light balances perfectly against the dark shadows. She does appear calm and perfectly content to count her crackers. Nice work.

Hello Pat
here this is masterpiece... a great perfection of the rappresentation of a child attempt to the "its job" the great cure in touching and "to put down" the biscuits is the mirror of the cure and perfection composition of this photo. absolutely big the frame, the tones, the exposure, the details, the use of light and the created shadows, also the "loneliness" that encloses this image in order to carry in prominence the calm of the child! I only believe that but (IMHO) a little wider cut with the child on the right of the photogram was rendered still more incisive this wonderful image! I wish you a mainpage... must be seen and be tasted from all!!!

cheers

roby

what a sweetie Pat. I love how she is perched on the edge of the chair.. her feet not touching the ground. the light is obviously amazing and the chair has a lot of character.
