About I never get tired of this view. Just north of Dunedin, whenever I am heading home in the evening and the light looks good a 5 minute detour takes you to the lookout above the coast. This is made up of 5 shots stitched in Photoshop.

I take my hat off to you, John, for stitching FIVE shots in PhotoShop. PS doesn't make it particularly easy, I hear. I used to stitch, but now mostly use panorama cameras, rectilinear for smaller angular spreads and swing-lens/rotary for angles up to 360 degrees. This was well worth the trouble, though the 800 pixel limiation makes it hard to enjoy the full beauty... A wonderful scene. Would like to visit it one day (and promise to take only pictures!).

Not only an awesome photo but what a beautiful place NZ must be. Nice job stitching and awesome coloring. This looks like you painted it as a mural.

Hi John,Yes you are right the image does not carry nearly on screen as well as the original, you have made a great job of stitching this panorama together,I too have seen this view many times but have never seen the sky so dramatic, amazing clouds.A professional job of a beautiful scene.
Stephen is right this one deserves a space on the wall.
Regards Micky.

Outstanding photo John. If I had a scene like that I would frame it and put it on the wall of the lounge. Truly superb !!

Thanks for your comment Tim. Glad you enjoy the view. This is the frst stitched panorama I have had any sucess with. I set the zoom lens to mid range, as anything slightly wideangle makes it hard to line up. The picture on the screen does not do justice to the original. Regards John

Well done. Beatiful scene. And.. what a great job stitching. I've tried to do this a few times and it never looks as good.
