your portfolio is full of beautiful sky shots in the best times of day,Joan!
after browsing for a while i decided to open this picture, which is absolutely great!
its a pity the halo over the trees degrades the nice effect a little.
my regards,
Kostas

Joann: This is a good shot. Well composed with the cloud formation creating the perspective, foreground to vanishing point in the sky.

Thanks for you comments on my photos ... Luther ..

Wow- I'm so pleased to have so many comments in such a short time! I thank everyone who has been kind enough to stop and encourage me.
I especially thank bubba bubba for mentioning the white outline. I had never really noticed it before. I'll have to learn how to do that feather thing you mentioned.
And to Robert, I wouldn't know how to add anything to one of my photos. Wish I did as I have seen some wonderful images on this site created by those in the know.
I use PSP 8 and resize, crop if necessary, auto fix, despeckle and unsharpen. Basic adjustments are all I know how to do.I'm pretty much a point and shoot photographer who has told God that if He will show me His glory on this earth, I will click the shutter button and post the photos.
I think it is working pretty well....
Blessings to all,
Joann

Not sure if you added the sky but if you did you need to get the white aura around the tree line blended in with the sky more. Very good image.

nice sky. a great shot . One thing though the photoshoping around the Silhouette of the trees is a bit distracting to me maybe feather it a bit there so that the white outline is not so apparent.
