Hey Detlef I really appreciated your comment;it put into words exactly what I felt when I took this photo and when I go back up to that spot and remember him ,I still wonder at the tenacity and enormous loneliness of that man driven by pure habit to work that little bit of land every single day,even Sundays,until he died.He didn`t have any family here and I suppose he couldn't imagine any other way of spending his time,he just continued doing what he had done all his life.I often watched him,from a higher spot,working away,just a dot on the landscape.

Tony what a Grand Image you have here, would love to have this hanging on my wall, the background and the mans task seem to tell the story, that he has his work cut out for him.. wonderful photo..
