I agree with Alex on this image..the lack of catchlight in the eyes here and her turn of the eye gives the eye a very hollow look and the eyes look a bit out of whack...the catch and her altering where she is looking would change that dramatically....I dont mind the tossled hair....I do mind the ear coming out of nowhere.....this looks like a good subject to work with Nathan...and it looks like you got a good oportunity here, if the sitter is willing, to yield some really nice images...they dont need to be formal portraits but you still want the viewer to have some imsight or a desire for a more intimate insight into this girl....

I agree with Ken...I like the emotion and exposure..reminds of earlier photographic works in the 70's...very nice. Good Job.

nathan,w hat grabbed me the most about this image is the sober mood eminating(sp) from this shot... being able to share and invoke emotion in people is what photojournalism is all bout... in my humble eyes the exposure is right on.
I also am one of those photographers who dislike the use of flash unless driven to it.
