About This is one of my favorites. Very interested what you think of it. If you look at my last few pictures you will notice the basic rules of photography had been broaken... That's exactly what I want:)

dont sweat the rules Chris...rules are only for the guidance of the wise....there is texture in the old wood and the new wood growing however is out of focus....the bird pulls the eye a bit but isnt a major distraction...nor do I see it as major component of the image...I however do think that the severe tilt of this image isnt really helping it Chris to the contrary....I love the texture and tonality on the old building...as well as the grass, sky and the tree...the perspective distortion does however add a bit of chaotic tension that doesnt benefit the sublties of the tones and texture in the image..nor the relationship of the new wood/old wood.....clever and creative....
Have you looked at this with a perspective correction and if so did it affect your original intentions?

Gary, WYSIWYG :))) Here is a quote I love: "? to photograph is to violate reality, because reality does not exist in an absolute sense, as an universal principle, which however is evaded in our daily experience: this experience dominated by the habit of rational analysis, kills our imagination preventing it from giving to things significances which are not the habitual ones.
the imagination is the great force which provokes, stimulates and sets in motion the images, giving life to them, penetrating the opaque surfaces of things. the objects and the situations we photograph are only a pretense to speak about our inner experiences and it is our story which is shown through them: a lamp is not just a lamp, but it becomes a part of us the moment we see it.? - Franco Fontana
