Andy, the lighting and the tone are perfect! Overall it is a very remarkable work - one of those portraits that will stick in your mind forever.
If you do not mind, I would like to suggest that since you named it "retro" it might benefit significantly if you could add some mild fuzziness, especially to the beckground. Also, it would be nice if you could add some scratches and make the borders look oldish.
Just an idea. (Popitka ne pitka. In Russian.) If you decide to do that, I would appreciate if you could let me know.
I will add this to my favorites.
