I think of the two I prefer this one. The posts seem in better balance with the main subject, and the power of the waves and the natural setting are much more tangible. You could also call this "Fishing in troubled waters." I also like it with the sky cropped to equal the volume of the sand... splits it nicely into thirds and gives you a panoramic frame. But it works very with more sky "space" above as you have it here.

Great photograph! Vast in feeling, and cold also! The tones are great, especially the whites........seems to glow. Very good eye to catch this one!
