About There\\\'s no doubt about it, the local Fox Squirrels are the dominant form of life in our trees. Since they\\\'re the largest and most aggressive of squirrels, they\\\'ve moved in and made themselves at home. I actually felt threatened by this monster. Wouldn't you?

Taras: We think someone in the neighborhood was into professional bodybuilding and perhaps this creature was getting into their anabolic steroid supply. The squirrel kept benchpressing our cat and taking long naps after gorging on pine nuts all day.

Bente: We actually moved away from that home into the mountains of Colorado. We couldn't use our rear deck any more as he had taken over the entire structure for his own personal use. Thank goodness there are no fox squirrels in the mountains. We just have the small gray ones here. They are much more pleasant in general.

Oh yes ... I do remember this huge fellow ... and it is still a good photo. Does he still visit to your garden?

regards Bente
