Composition is bang on here... and I was just telling Mary Sue how I have no luck with iris flowers and here you both are with such creative views! Not sure if it's my LCD screen or what, but there seems to be a lot of grain on this image, particularly sprinkled throughout the black. But, it could be the angle of my screen... you never know with these things!
The colours are very complimentary to each other, and as mentioned before the black bg really makes the bluish/purple of the flower pop.

Pin point accurate exposure and I love the grain your processing left. Fine abstraction too, in part due to the strong contrast, but also in part to the flower position in the frame ; I like the effect

Some pretty good work here John. Nothing appears to be amiss with this one and your technique is great. The black background really makes the colors jump on this one. In a nutshell....Nice!
