Good portrait Selina. Generaly the lighting is good except perchaps the pretty shining cheek. Yes, I agree with your comment. We musk know the difference between overexposed and shining. Here is perchaps a makeup problem at the flash.

Oh the area on my cheek didn't look so overexposed on my original, but here, it looks very bright indeed. Oops !
Back to the drawing board....you probably won't be seeing photos of me again !!!

Nothing wrong with practicing on yourself. I like the pose here, the dark background, and the composition. This could be improved if it were sharper. I also think the photo is just a little overexposed.
