About This photo show the effects of very cold temperature on the Saint-Laurent river. A cold Arctic airmass continued to affect Quebec city region on january 15th, with temperature at the moment of the photo at minus 26 Celsius (-14F) and very strong winds equivalent to extreme wind chill factor on the river near minus 55C!
Photo taken on the ferry between Quebec city and Levis. I was able to stay a maximum of 2 to 3 minutes outside of the vessel to take photos.

I am amazed your Coolpix survived. Dont let Nikon know what you have been up to. My CP 5700 manual says the low end operating temperature is 32 F. : )

Having said that.....wonderful photo. Great line curving to the church steeple. Have you ever been over to Gros Ile? I was there a couple of summers ago. Would love to see any of your photos of that remarkable historic place.

best wishes despite the super chill

Bill
