dear donna, i am sorry, should i have hurt your feelings. we are in such an open platform and community here from all over the globe that i hardly every think of such "fine tune" you may have reacted to. i didn't mean any harm, let alone anything personal. i know how the streets of n.y. or miami look from personal visits and imagine you mean l.a.. old europe looks a little different. here i am talking about the town of almagro about 100 km southeast of madrid where the fuggers i mentioned (the big finance barons of the time) struck a deal with the spanish king carlos V to give them the rights for exploitation of his mercury mines around the year 1520. there is not much going on today except a pretty well known theatre festival every summer. i hope we can remain friends :-)) best regards charlie.f.kohn@sixpence-pictures.com // madrid

Hi Charlie, Nice to hear from you. You threw me by mentioning my "amusing" comment. I actually was sincere about the "unfamiliar" scene. Where I live, streets look very different! Wide sidewalks, parking space between the sidewalk and street lane, etc. The building, as well, with the iron bars over the windows and such. Anyway, enjoyed the shot. Have a great day! Donna

carissima katia, you are so right with your complaint, but for one there is no cropping. this is the original slide. and if you imagine the size of those very small ancient streets you wel know why the shadow of the opposite house comes in at this time of day. i am sorry to puzzle you, but i couldn't do better then. besos charlie.f.kohn@sixpence-pictures.com // madrid

it reminds me of Tunisia...but Spain is not so far away.
I don't understand the crop...you cut the top of the houses and even the bottom, but then you left the shadow in front of them... something is not correct in my vision...

Charlie your blue is wonderful here; I like it very much, probably changing perspective and/or avoid cropping on the right bottom to include all the blue zone, should greatly improve composition and impact
