This is gorgeous - the flower seems to glow from within. Well done!

Very nice Greg... I like the translucency of the outer petals and yes you are right, the heavy frame takes away from this beautiful image. I notice alot of people using heavy frames lately..not sure why, i think by using a simplistic frame the image stands out much more.
Love your flower...gives me ideas *smile*...Maggie

The petal structure is fabulous.. I think that the blown out look to the edges most likely attracts more then it distracts.. I do not care for the heavy frame on such a delicate subject but that has little to do with the actual photograph.I admire how with your cropping and the translucent sheet you have created a floating quality to this .. I prefer to have more drama to the colour personally.

Thanks for the comment - I don't think the frame helps the image much - way to heavy for such a dleicate image - I was experimenting - I think I'll go minimalist from now on.

Something about this photo really sucked me in. I love the strong color and then the touch of green from the petite little leaves. I really like the translucent effect. At first I thought maybe there is too much white space around the subject but, actually, I think it's quite striking. Nice!
