Hi again, Chris,

I hope you had a nice X-Mas time?

Thanks for drawing my attention to Neat Image which seems to be a quite useful program - right now I'm trying to find my way through the very detailed manual... :-)

Lars,

I used Neatimage to remove the grain. It works wonders on high speed film as I regularly shoot Tri-x at 1250 and have made 16x20?s off that with little loss of detail. You can find the program at www.neatimage.com

Hi everybody,

Thanks for all your compliments, they're all very appreciated!

To Jose Luis & Hugo: Actually it is not yet printed, it's "only" scanned from the original negative.

To Licia: Which project would you have prefered? Aren't stairs and escalators just Beneath Your Feet"? :-)

To Chris: Thanks for attaching a suggestion with less grain, I like it very much!
Actually taking a photo from that perspective (standing in the middle of the stairs) makes it almost impossible to use a tripod so my only chance was to use a high-speed film like the TMZ 3200 because it's so extremely dark down there... Removing the grain from this file for me is no opportunity because too much detail and sharpness gets lost - but which software did you use?

Lars,

I really like the composition here but I think the image as a whole would work better with less grain (grain is something I normally like). I think the tones here should be silky smooth as the metal in the picture.

I am attaching a fix that I did; I tried to remove as much grain as I could.

Great perspective and geometry! Like the grain too, did you print it yourself?

Perfect symmetry and exposure; nice tones. But why is it in the "Beneath Your Feet" project?

excellent perspective and lighting! TMZ 3200 is the best for this kind of pictures. nice grain. Did you print this yourself? or is it scanned?
cheers
