Hi Chris, yes i remember weel this shot and many others, i'm a regular visitor of A.net, i think it's really perfect for the "above your head" project!!!
As spotter and aviation enthusiast, i hope one day i could be in that place... maybe for my wedding journey... i think it's one of the best place i have ever seen to take picture of aircraft!

Cool shot! When I saw the thumbnail I thought it might be Grand Cayman, they have a pretty mental short runway island situation. Fabulous!

This is a realy cool pic. I've tried to get the same shot but i've always been to scared. The idea of a 20 ton overpowered piece of machinery feet from the top of my head is just too much to stomach. You can get a shot similar in Montego Bay jamaica at Sangsters International Airport, but instead the of the beach you get the approach lights and the water in the background.

Hey guys, thanks for the nice comments... just for the record, i can assure you that is 100% real. It's cool if you would like to send me an email and i'd be happy to show you some other pics from that spot, it really is a fab place. (yes, st. maarten... most insense, frightening, and exciting photography i've ever done) "As seen in 'Ripley's believe it or not'".

If it is made where I think it is (St. Maarten) the plane would have been exactly there.
Supposed to be the single best location for aircraft photography, though I haven't been there (yet?) to check it out for myself.
