Owls are very impressive birds....but here the owl isn't the only impressive thing... the lighting........ it is so great! I almost believe that this owl pose for you, stay at the right place and take its time for you to take this shot. Superb is the least I can say for this.

Excellent shot. Great tones, great composition/isolation. I kind of wish the light had been more even across the owl's face, but then that probably wasn't under your control at the moment. Good work!
