I think you may have misunderstood. With that image you might silk screen a piece of silk 1m by .8m, ok, so what if you need a piece of silk 1m x 3.2m to make a dress, how do you handle the repetition of the "pattern" so that it doesn't look like 4 pieces of 1m x .8m stuck together. Is there some way to "merge"/"blend" one panel into the next ? Most material has a pattern which makes it look continuous for any arbitrary length.

Exactly! My wife is a designer and a top seamstress and I've been working on these with silk in mind. The answer to your question is silk screen (nothing to do with the fabric)

How do you take something like this and replicate the pattern for fabric ?
