About The exposure I chose for this was basically a complete guess. I thought "hey, this shutter/aperture combination might give some good results..." and so I tried it, along with several other speeds.

thanks guys. actually, i did crop it, but only to make it a square. i didn't enlarge it or zoom in at all. one of them wacky tucson night skies, i guess:)

on a side note, it's funny how low some people rate things. i believe this shot was at a 7 or something before today...now it's at a 4, which means someone had to rate it as a 1 or 2. i'm starting to not take these ratings very seriously, heh.

Did u enlarge and crop the pic?I tried taking picures of the moon several times but even with a 300 mm lens the moon appears insignifiant in size.Good pic.

I know how hard it is to take a good photo of a moon and clouds. Well done.

This is a beautiful shot, and a good guess too! (Experimentation is the only way to go. I did the same thing with some moon shots a month ago. Only two photos turned out, and I was ecstatic.)

I love the soft, subtle movement of the clouds and the way they thinly veil the moon. They create nice lines which draw the eye right across the photograph. The only suggestion I can think to make is to crop a bit of the black from the bottom - not all, just some. :)

thanks rob:)

the shot you attached, i like it very much too! but i like the crop more for some reason...more even on the exposure i guess, now that i've seen the original:). i like all versions of the house photo though, it's a good site...keep going to back to it....there are LOTS of possibilities!

Interesting shot John. Makes me want to get out there and try some also. Here is a pic you wanted too see also. Rather than posting another shot of this house on the main, I'll drop it here. This was another angle.

Nice shot John. I am more impressed with the fact that you are developing these yourself. You have a good eye, sounds like a strong desire and in time hopefully an automobile to get you out and around!! At only 18 years old, there is much you can accomplish. Keep it alive! Sound familiar??
