This image has great atmosphere. I do think your image isn't as strong as it could be with the subject in the middle of your image. Having the subject off center might improve your image. I"ve attached an example crop that I'd recommend. I'm not sure if it will align with your tastes though. What do you think?

wohhooooooooooooo lovely toning and mood-pity he is not slightly away from the branches! I think the chimneys in the background add to the mood. As for my Brooklin bridge, after lightening up the foreground which was rather dark, I just put the image on anotehr layer and used a simple pinch filter and dropped shadow in photoshop! Thanx for comment!

hello Irenka,
this is one of the moodiest pictures I've seen recently! great place and perfect light/colour make this a very appealing image,which might be even better without these two chimneys in the distance. I would also kneel down and compose the picture without the tree branches hiding the fisherman's head.

Splendid shot and great mood, it gives me a sense of solitude, I like the subject and the blue toning, I think that the branches disturb a bit the composition because they cover the figure, instead the smokestacks create a beautiful contrast with the natural scene and in my opinion you should not take them away. Dave, those 2 chimneys are from a water heating plant (or whatever you call that in English ;))
The place is actually a lake in Wilanów, one of the royal palaces in Warsaw... So indeed, one can have an illusion of isolation, but there's always a reminder...

Very emotive, however I think I would have been tempted to airbrush out those 2 pylons (r whatever they are). For me they're too much of a reminder of the 'real world', otherwise you could be miles from anywhere.
