About I went out one morning determined to see what the Heliar 50mm lens could do in B&W. I really liked the result. 50mm will never be my favourite focal length (too long!) but I do like this lens.

Great perspective. I like how the texture and tones of the trunk are echoed by the dappled light filtering through the leaves. It is a wonderful camouflage effect that allows us room to explore the image.
