Great b&w shot. Love the effect of the camera.

@ Reinhard: I see you are a fan of full frames, too. When I scan 6x6 negatives I use the mask for 9x12 with clips (this is an advertising for Epson 3200 :))

This photo has beautiful tones. You may try to apply very minimal pressure on the negative to avoid the newton rings. I agree with you that it is nice to scan the frame as well.

For the first shots on a new-to-you camera I think this worked out pretty well. The expression on his/her face has so much character! Nice DOF as well to pull your dog from the background.

@all thanks for your comments

@ andreas . these are no fingerprints - this is the newton effect. its due to my scanner. I placed the negative directly on the glass, because I like to have the borders of the negative on the picture. I didn't use the mask because, it cuts away the borders - in the moment I don' know how to solve the problem - maybe you have an idea?

...and as you know - these kind of cameras have no wysiwyg view finder --- tese were my first shots with the camera an so I think I will need some films until I know what's the difference between that what see in the finder and that what I get on the film ;-)

cool - but the dog could have been centered more exactly in order not cut his legs. Another thing is the texture above the dog's head: finger prints on the film? (I am not the pedant that this comment could make you think :))
