I love the use of shadows in this picture and the framing is a good choice. Exposure and colors and lighting all great.

Philip, I love the symbolism of the hourglass. I think it might have been interesting also to have just taken a shot of the shadow of the hourglass while leaving out the hourglass itself. Nice picture though

I agree with those above, good shot! It also lends itself to a little abstract modification. The shadow could be liquified in photoshop for a surreal look, Just an idea. Its excellent as it is!

i think what would make this shot cooler would be if the background behind the hourglass weren't so bright. i like the subtle detail in the shadow of the hourglass, but if you can make the background darker without sacrificing that shadow detail, that would be awesome. nice shot nonetheless:)
