Charlotte,

I like the emotion in this shot but the exposure is off. I think what happened are the bright white outfits and the green field caused your meter to expose for that area. What happened then were the player?s faces went dark and details were lost. I don't know if the rebel G has spot metering or not but if you were to re-shoot this and spot meter off the players faces or the dirt area right in front of then your exposure would be better. If it does not then hold the camera pointed toward the dirt (make sure it is at least as bright as where the players are) and take a reading, note what the meter said then put the camera in manual mode with those settings. This should help make a better exposure?
