Awe-inspiring. So much detail can be seen on the surface of the moon.

I would like to know more about the setup of this shot. How did you get so much detail?

I got up this morning and saw the moon in daylight I wanted to go out and take pictures but my computer is getting worked on and I don't know when they will be shipping it back. I know it got to HP on last Wednesday morning. I won't ever buy a HP again. I thought there was an in home repair for the first year. I had to send it in twice so far I believe for the same problem and they should fixed it right the first time. Now for this nice image like your Moon at least your up at night. I don't know what to tell you Bill some people like to put in a lot of hours at work.

Thanks, from all of us who were too lazy to go out, had bad weather or just simply forgot. I forgot.

Wonderful Lunar shot!
I like this composition the way it is.
I wouldn't crop part of the bottom, as suggested. The top placement of the object makes the picture really and gives a sence of immense distance
Excellent work!

Bill, Yours turned out very well! I have always found these to be difficult shots without the absolutly correct set up, that is why I did not even try. The coolpix 5000, forget it, the 70~210 lens on my Pentax no way. You and your D10 did an excellent job, great color tones and deatil. Congrats.

Beautiful moon shot. Maybe you could have cropped it a little tighter at the bottom. I was incredibly disappointed to find a cloudy sky tonight....I had my telescope and camera ready to go.

Excellent moonshot, I was hoping to snab a good picture of the eclipse, but I was surrounded be lights and it was throwing off my lens. Very detailed shot.
