About This (like my previous upload) is a digitally manipulated photo. Does that make it any less my creation? Does that make it any less worthwhile? I am interested that so many people here seem to think so.

This is an interesting one John! It shows me how saturation can be used for good. Quite a few of the photos posted on the internet are saturated to some extent. Some folks don't know when to stop. This one is saturated to the point of unnatural and it works in conjunction with the other filters you have used. This would make a very nice postcard or poster. You may have to wear sunglasses but what the heck? ;)

You are right John about how the "community" would react to photo manipulations. It's not only here, I've found it on other sites as well. It's even worse at my local Photo Club where chemicals are the only way. It is a kind of reaction that must have been heard with the introduction of photography stamped as an imitation of painting popular among those ignorant of painting.

The fact is though that manipulation has served beginner photographers to try to camouflage below average photos. Conversely, some beginner crtiiques will see any manipulated photos as a camouflaged ordinary photo.

Very impressive. I would like to see the original as well, so I could compare the two. It looks like the original is impressive without the effects as well. Good shot!

Very nice capture. Reminds me of a watercolor painting.

no, it makes it MORE your creation: but the problem consists in the final effect your produce will show
:)
(maybe a bit too saturated? imho)
