Beautiful. I must say that I perfer this one to the one in color. Her eyes just sparkle in this one. The one is color I think takes away from the beauty of her eyes. Very nice work.

So very very beautiful! I really love the expression you captured, but also everything else is just so perfect! Very nice toning too!

Peta; 1st, congratulations on the high Ranking of this photo-- well deserved. I love your portraits-- well, most of them:>). There's certainly no need to apologize for improving my photo of Blair, in fact I appreciate it and love what you did-- especially the eyes-- that was a big improvement. But you also lightened it in a beneficial way and improved the cropping. Blair has a nice warm tan this time of year, but I'd left it a little too warmish I think. Thanks! You've really been an enjoyable UF friend to have. Cheers. Craig

Sepia version gives it a great contrast, good lighting, expression and detail, well done.

Thank you everyone, and my model thanks you too. :)

Yes her hand, I see that now, I will blur it a little before printing, Thank you for your help. :) Actually in the original it was almost hot, so I had tried to tone it in more.
I thought the hand added a little different perspective.

As always, a wonderful portrait Peta. You have really gotten your natural lighting technique down to a science. great exposure, nice light and those eyes.....wow!! I prefer this sepia version over the color, though both are quite nice and stand well. My only nit pic would be, the perspective issue with her hand in the frame. It looks a little too large because it is closer to the lens. But as always; your lighting is wonderful and I like the emotion and expression of the shot.

This is a beautiful image no matter what but I think this version is much better it is able to stand on its own without any effect some use to hide a boring picture ... this is anything but that .... Beautiful daughter we have something in common :)
Thanks for reading my comment and reposting !

Absolutely better than the previous version, the first was a good photo, but this is splendid, even if I partially agree with Stefan about the soft focus on her face in comparison with the hand (you could soften it a bit with PS). The sepia also is a good choice, it gives a romantic look to the image. Bye Max

Very lovely, great tones and lighting. I have one thing that bother me a little is that the hand is too prominent with a little too much light on it. It is lighter than the face and draws the eye. Also if you use a little more of a telephoto lens it will take care of this to some degree. It appears to be somewhat wide angle and that foreshortens t hings. One way would be to pull the hand back and just show some fingers. Its just my idea. Don.

Beautiful tones, in particular in the face, neck, and hand. The eyes are great, very clear, almost transparent.

Yep-- just as nice Peta. I think I'd use just a thin simple dark colored border to contain the photo-- but that's just my bias. The toning/lighting is excellent. Nice work!

I like this B/W version better than the color alternative you posted earlier. Good pose and a look that draws you into the photo. It seems to me that the focus in her face is a touch soft (compared to what we see on her hand for instance).

You pull so many different personalities out of your daughters that I once thought you might have several dozen of them [daughters]. Another perfect portrait, Peta!!

I like this one better than the other because of the warmer tones and its lower contrast.
