About Shot with Cokin P173, on tripod. The colour comes from the blue/yellow polarizer. I don't make many silhouette shots but I thought this would look cool. I think they are orange trees but I am not very sure. Location: Sorrento, Italy.

Great eye on this one. I love the colors and the cloudy background. Makes the whole thing fit, Great job.

I have a question about the blue / yellow Cokin filter... which colour is normally on top? I've noticed that this filter works well with many of the shots that you've composed, but I've always wondered which way you use it...

Love the mist hanging on the water, making the horizon soft. And of course, that gorgeous golden colour!

Looks like you should try silhouettes more often, this works beautifully, unreal light, great colors, but very graphic via the deep blacks (on that note i'd consider adding a lil more black space to the bottom in PS to give it a little more room to complete)~

Kenneth,

Nice to see you back posting, and of course you do it with another great shot! I have admired what you have done with the 173 filter so much I have ordered a cokin set up with several filters and esspecially the 173. I only hope I can get half as good a shot as you do. Good luck In San Fran.

Later my friend,

Russ

You can sure make something out of nothing. This does work, although the lines near the bottom do not help much in my opinion. I thought you spent ALL of your money on E-bay. You have traveled extensively so it sounds. Thanks for sharing it all!

good composition. This is great one that you make use of filter. The color is very natural.
